This will be my first race.  I was just inquiring to see if anyone has done this race and what they thought about it.  Thanks.

The swim is a striaght shot so you can get into your rythm better. On the bike I ahted all the turns but there not to bad and then run was very nice. It should a good beginner race for you.

Excellent race for a beginner....

The swim is straigh from one point to the other side of the lake....the bike is great...they have a new bike course (2 lloops) and it's very fast....and then run is very nice...

This was my first tri last Feb.  The lake is a straight-shot, but it's in water that is rather "tea-colored" to a point where you can't see your hands at the bottom of your stroke.  Lotsa sighting required.

Ride is pretty nice all things considered.  Run is short 2.5 I think.

Because the course is closed, it makes the race atmosphere pretty nice.

i'm glad they're doing the one lap course and added more waves but man, 750 combined duathletes and triathletes? course/venue is going to be crowded. and of course the women get shafted (except the duathletes since they all start together) - wave 7 for the first non-elite women?!?!?

The only problem with that one lap bike course is that has too many U-turns...there are fast section but then you have to reduce speed to do the U-turns...LOL

 750 dua/trithletes....it will be too crowd...LOL

I never understood why women get pushed back. I say if your age group is 15-19 or 25-29 then you go out with that group. It doesn't matter if your a man or women.

Excellent Race...!!! I did it Super-Great!!! I got 1st place in my Age Group...Yahoooo!!!

The weather was perfect...it help a lot....but It was a little windy during the swim and everybody was trembling before the Race...

The Bike Course had too many U-turn that made us reduce the speed and it was too crowd...traffic...

The run was great....the weather helped a lot...

Ditto on that bike comment!  That many turns plus the crowd was NOT a great combo!  But, the run and swim were great!
