So I had my first trainer ride tonight on my Kurt Kinetic.  There are probably 2 major concerns I have that I would really appreciate your input on.

 1)  The screw that holds the magnet on the spoke came flying off about halfway through the ride.  The screw was not screwed in completely due to the fact that the magnet would not fit very snuggly on the spoke.  I already forsee this being a chronic issue so any suggestions?  Would glue work or is that a no no?

 2)  I am using my P2C on the trainer and there is only enough room for my current bike computer.  Just to use the Kurt power meter that I bought with the trainer I had to use several of the zip ties they gave me, and wrap the cord all the way around the bike and sort of ghetto rig it to the handle bar.  Are there any better options than this?  I know one of you out there has had some of these issues.  I cannot imagine having this thing on here for races because it seems like it could easily fly off or something, but at the same time I can't imagine going through 1,000,000 zip ties every time I want to attach the computer for a ride on the trainer.  I hope this was clear enough.  If not........sorry.

I've heard of several ways that people with Compu-trainers build a stand to mount the handlebar computer beside the bike. Some of the ideas were using plastic, copper, or iron plumbing pipe. There was a thread over on slowtwitch with some pictures of different solutions.

Edit:
One really neat idea had the trainer on a base. The computer stand was mounted to the base, but there was also a couple of small mounts for the wheel speed sensor and the pedal cadence sensor on the base. The sensors were on flexible copper pipe so they could be adjusted and nothing had to be attached to the bike besides the magnets.
