This is at Atlantic Station and you can even find a coupon online.  It is amazing in so many ways you can't imagine.

This is the best thing you could ever do!  It is so amazing to go through and experience what it's like to be blind.  You'll be amazed at how your other senses take over, and how you can tell the difference between a ginger root, califlower and many other items.  You go through many scenes of everyday life and it will leave you in amazement!

At the end, there is a bar where you sit down and talk with your guide, who is blind.  Hence the name (Dialog in the dark).  You get to ask him/her questions and it's so amazing.  Our guide (Derrick) lost his sight at 19.  He was a gang banger and was shot multiple times but survived.  That was 20 yrs ago.  What, at first, seemed like a dumb question was a good one.  We asked if he dreams in color.  He said yes, but when he dreams of people they are 20 yrs younger.  If he dreams about his brother, he is still 19.

I recommend everyone to go.  It's an experience you will not forget or regret.  Oh, bring at least $2 with you.  It would have been amazing to order a drink and then make your way to the seat while blind.

Was thinking that this might be a good thing for my Cub Scouts to experience ... is it something that would be appropriate for 5th graders?

Without Question!  It would be more than appropriate.  I think they would get more out of it that anyone.  Plus they have group discounts too I think.

I have given this some thought and want to do it. Is this a limited show, or ongoing? Hard to determine dates

I'm not sure how much longer it's there.  but from the sounds of it, it's a limited engagement.  I am going to take my friends that are in town 2 weeks from now.  Wether they like it or not.
