Hello! New here... just starting to use the training log and moving some data over from my years-old Excel file. Good times.

Was wondering if it's possible to add on to an existing run route I've already created, rather than re-creating the front part of it? Think out-and-back run, but running out farther but not wanting to re-map the whole front end. (Am I making sense?) I searched through the forums but didn't find anything specific but might not have come with the best searching vocabulary.

Thanks so much!

Kyla

If you select edit from your list of routes and then hit undo until you get to the point you want  to add from is what I do.

What he said. Edit the route, undo until you get to the point where it changes and then do a "Save As..."

BTW, did you know that you can import training data from a .csv file? Depending on how complicated your Excel file is and how good you are with Excel, you might be able to get the old data in auto-magically.

THANK YOU!! It was the edit part that stymied me.

I don't think an import from Excel will work, but I like the idea. I have pretty basic goods in Excel, stemming from years of only running, lots of focus on splits, etc. But it might be worth goofing around with it later on to see if I can... For now I just want to have one month in the log to feel proud about and build on.

Thanks again for route tips.

Back to this question again... If I edit a route, is it possible to save it as a different route (name), but keep my original route? I just created a new route based on an older one (an out-and-back, today I went out longer than usual), but then when I saved my new, longer route, now my older runs at the shorter distance reflect the new longer route.

Anyway, I figured out how to edit but I'd like to have two separate routes now, but I'm wondering if I need to create each one separately?

Am I making sense? (Stop making sense.)

Thanks so much. I love geeking out on stuff like this and am having such fun figuring out all of the things my training log can do!

Yes it is. Just use the Save As button after editting to create a new route with your edits.

Save As

OK, duh, thanks. I swear I didn't see the SAVE AS option the first time around. Sorry for asking ridiculous questions! (I'm really not a technical bozo usually!) Thanks for being here!
