Subject: go ahead, laugh at me!hey all. i've been swimming and running for about 3 months and i have my first sprint tri coming up in june. today i figured would be a good day to see how i'd fair doing the 1/2 mile (32 laps in my gym's 25m pool ) swim. this was my first time ever attempting this many laps without a break. i did a few laps to get my heart rate up and steady and then i began my laps. i started doing strictly freestyle stroke and after about 15 laps i had to alternate between freestyle, backstroke and breast stroke because my upper body began to fatigue. i finished the 32 laps in approximately 25 minutes (times it on a wall clock ). i was tired afterwards but, after i caught my breath for a minute felt ok. so yes, please laugh at me and then feel free to offer any help, tips or advice to cut this time down!
