Subject: Goderich Tri??
Has anyone ever competed in the Goderich Tri (standard/olympic)? It's in August.  I have heard of it and am considering doing it but haven't committed yet.  It's just put on by the town as far as I know. 
Let me know how it is if anyone has ever competed in it.

I have never done it and have not heard anything about it - but it appears to have started in 2003.

Looking at the results I can't see them getting more than 100 people (only 45 in '07).

 

Goderich is a really pretty town, and its only $35, might be a fun day out.  I think I will last minute sign up if I do it (I don't see it filling up!).

 

Tell your accountant I will do it if there is a free t-shirt involved!  :P

I have done Goderich twice as individual, once as a team.  Good little Race, nothing like suburu or hsbc.  Length is fun, swim could be a little longer.  Hilly bike course, big rollers, 2 fairly tough hills.  Lake is usually small swells.  Small B-B-Q after.  Very fan friendly since race starts and finishes in the Harbour.  Mostly experienced racers, since it is a little longer.  Can register and get your caps and stuff night before which is nice.  See you there.
