Buttercup 14334 | Subject: How to find a date for Star Wars The last Star Wars movie will be in theaters beginning May 19. This is a great reason for me to get a date and neck during the last of the great Star Wars movies. It has to be during Star Wars for nostalgic reasons; Star Wars was my first date and public necking session. Ok, so the venue is set but there's the small detail of needing a date. There have been only 2 men in my life since 1987, and none at all in the last year and half, so I'm not up on the dating scene (just the sound of it makes me want to pull the covers over my head). How best to go about rounding up a date? |

Champion 5183 Wisconsin | Subject: RE: How to find a date for Star Wars (I found my spouse online! Really! We were both so dorky and nervous about it, but both said we had had it being set up, going to bars, etc. I answered her ad: it was very specific about what she wanted, I was all of those things, and she seemed intelligent, honest and was within 15 yrs of my age.. don't knock it-- maybe you should have a contest, who writes you the best ad for a star wars date!) |

Buttercup 14334 | Subject: RE: How to find a date for Star Wars Possum, should I mention the necking part in my contest? And Welshy lives in TEXAS, not TAMPA so you're not being helpful (whoever you are)! Ya know, if I had asked for advice on where to buy bike tubes, I'd have received 50 suggestions by now. A little compassion for the dateless here! |

Champion 5183 Wisconsin | Subject: RE: How to find a date for Star Wars yeah. so, in the advert, you better be specific about what he looks like if you plan to mash faces for 2 hours. but then you'd miss the movie...no amount of good smooching would make me miss SW! |

Got Wahoo? 5423 San Antonio | Subject: RE: How to find a date for Star Wars It would never work. I would ask her what she thought and she would tell me that I shouldn't be concerned with what SHE thought, and that the didn't give a rats ass what I thought by way of example.... Besides, I would need to know exactly what she was attracted to in men.... Edited by tmwelshy 2005-04-07 2:14 PM |

Want the contact info?? Ooh. Well, uh, he sounds enticing but 34's kinda young (I'm 43) but it would be just for the one date. Hmmm... let me think on that. Could be fun. I dunno. Geez, I'm feeling shy already. |

That will make my decision a little easier Well, even if you're just playing this is a good opportunity for me to draft a personals ad: I'm 43. I enjoy an active lifestyle, one that involves lots of play. I snow and water ski; I play golf and racquetball; my favorite play is riding my mtn bike off-road. I love to entertain my friends with good cooking and wine. I'm Buddhist and am uncomfortable with any form of religious zealotry. My home will be paid off in 3 years. I have 2 full 5' tall bookshelves in my bedroom. My favorite writers are John Irving and Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I speak some Spanish, a little French and a little Italian. I'm a clean living girl, I don't smoke, no drugs, alcohol consumption is mostly wine or beer (and the occassional Margarita). I dearly love my 7 nieces and nephews and adore 2 of my sisters. My mother inspires me to be a strong woman. I have 2 cats. I laugh quite loudly. My favorite TV shows are Sex & The City; Seinfeld; and Buffy The Vampire Slayer. I am emotional, warm, direct, passionate and trustworthy. I enjoy sex a great deal. I need to understand people. I am an INTJ. More than you ever wanted to know... |

Pro 4206 Los Angeles, CA | Subject: RE: How to find a date for Star Wars Ok, my vote is online. I think you would get a lot of hits, seems like you are a pretty well rounded person. On a side note, I was raised in a buddhist environment/household, my parents/grandparents are/were very buddhist. Buttercup 14334 | Subject: RE: How to find a date for Star Wars Hah! I like men. I've always liked men. I like men alot. They come in so many wonderful shapes and sizes, and they're rarely bitchy or catty. I'm always checking out men when I'm running or riding or swimming (like that guy in the pool last night, nice view) or shopping or driving or... It's a primal thing. I don't question it. I embrace it. One of my lesbian friends once told me "You are the most heterosexual women I've ever met." Her only explanation was to say I was very hetero. Ok. Whatever. Did I mention I like men? |

Expert 822 | Subject: RE: How to find a date for Star Wars I think online is getting to be a better and better option as more and more people are using it for dating. Check Craigslist.org's Tampa Bay section (check out http://tampa.craigslist.org/m4w/65223942.html)for free ads. Another free one that found me my current GF is Friendster.com. I also like Yahoo personals because there are so many people on it, but it costs about $20/mo. They might still have a free 7-day trial special going. Mike |

Buttercup 14334 | Subject: RE: How to find a date for Star Wars Oy... I don't think I'm ready for online dating. Maybe I could trip up a cute guy who rides past me on a trail. Throw myself and my bike in his path. It's gotta be less painful than online... |
