I got a new mp3 player but just realized I can't use my i-tunes unless I have an i-pod. Is there anyway I can convert those songs to go onto my new Sasna mp3 player? Maybe some software program or something.

Thanks

Congrats on the Sansa. I've had one for 3 or 4 years and I love it. However itunes songs come in AAC files and some Sansa mp3 players don't support that, so it would depend on what type of player you have. I'd say your best bet is to do a google search on converting AAc to mp3 and find whichever way is easiest for you. Then I'd say never use itunes again, but thats just me.

Is there another program that you use to buy/download songs other than Itunes?

Go into iTunes importing options. Change the format from AAC to MP3. Any non DRM song can be converted by right clicking and there will be an option saying convert to MP3. Simple as dat.

Amazon.com.  Also costs ~20% less on average

Amazon also does DRM-free downloads, so you don't have to worry about how many devices you put it on or any of that stuff.  I've got a bunch of songs that I bought through Musicmatch Jukebox that have never played on my Windows Mobile device, and having changed laptops now won't play at all.  PITA.

Another way to get your AAC files into MP3 format would be to burn them to an audio CD and then rip them from the CD to MP3.  Bit of a pain, but it will strip the DRM and give you a backup of your music.

Once you have stuff in MP3 format, you can probably use Windows Media Player to sync songs to your Sansa.
