Subject: Newbie - Never Really worried about supplements beforeI have a pretty healthy diet with a good mix of meats, fish, salads. I Eat oatmeal or a good cereal and 1-2 bananas every day. I am not a yogurt fan so I don't really do smoothies. I currently do not take vitamins or any supplement. At 5'8" and 158 pounds I could still lose another 5-8lbs. Pretty new to tri but have been a runner most of my life (44 years old now ). Feeling some of the aches in my joints from years of abuse and also muscle fatigue. I take at least 1-2 days off now that my miles on the bike and run are increasing. My question: Should I use AMP or some other kind of supplement post workout to help speed recovery. I see people mention Designer Whey, would that help? Would glucosamine and chondroitin help with some of the "lubrication" issues in my joints. Also looking for just a good recommended vitamin. |
