Does anyone know of any aqua bike races that are coming up in Georgia?

Chris...Unfortunately, it's an Aquathlon...run, swim, run...

I've been keeping an eye out for any aquabike events and am bummed that I didn't start looking sooner, because P'tree Tri appears to have been the only race in the area that offered aquabike as an option.

I have email Chuck Dunlop and Jim Rainey re: same and have yet to hear back; hopefully the lack of an immediate "Not gonna happen" response means they're pondering the idea.

LOL!! I never stopped to consider that there might be a difference! RunSwimRun? What's that all about?

I've swapped a few emails with Chuck Dunlop (RD, Tri the Parks series) re: possibly adding aquabike (swim/bike) as a category at upcoming races (Mistletoe and Russell).  His response to my initial inquiry was very positive and today I received this note:

"...We should have the aquabike category option available for registration by the end of the day for both MT and RB.  We will add this to our website and perhaps send out an email to our database to let everyone know of the option and thanks for bringing this to our attention.  We will take a look at the other races at the end of the season and see if we can incorporate at the others as well.  If you can help pass on the word to your contacts who might be interested that would be greatly appreciated..."

All I can say is "Wow!"  I had no idea that Chuck would respond so positively and so quickly.  To the latter, I'm not even in a position to take advantage this year due to being out of town the weekend of each race, but I know other people will be excited to hear this news.

As Chuck asked in his note, will you please help spread the word re: aquabike being available at MT and RB?
