There seems to be several types of road geometries available - traditional, compact frames, and plush or relaxed.

Is there a better geometries if you are planning on doing triathlons (long distances, putting aero bars on, etc.)?

Thanks!

It's more complicated than that. I doubt you can just classify a type of road bike which is best for triathlons. It's a road bike, not a triathon bike, and one type of road bike with aero bars and a fast foward set may work for person A but not for person B. Just like one triathlon bike may work for person A and not person B.

That said, check out this article and you will get a better understanding of what to look for, or possibly, confuse you more. Something about gemometry in the section "WHICH GEOMETRY STYLE IS RIGHT FOR YOU?"

Cervelo Soloist Team, which is now the S1. Probably the best compromising bike if you're going to use it for both. Podium quality bike with a reversible seat post. Just my $.02.

2+ on the Cervelo Soloist Team. I have one that I have been using for TRIs for the past 4 years. It also works great as road bike.
