Thinking about doing an olympic in open water in September.  What type of wetsuit do you guys recommend and where can I get them in the NoVA area or MD?

What do you use?  Where did you get it?

that depends... we all have different body types... So its ideal to go try on some.. you want it to be snug so that there's proper seal on legs arms and neck. this will also so help determine whether you want sleeveless or full..

Bonzai in Falls Church and Riptide in Manassas?  rent them.  Bonzai only rents 19 wetsuits, not sure about riptide.

You can also rent them from a few online places, I used wetsuitrental.com and have had good results.

I got the De Soto Black Pearl. Their cust. service is great and it is 2 piece so you can get diff. size top and bottom. If the size isn't right, you can return it. Tough that it isn't local, but search on here and you will tons of positive feedback. I called, told the sales rep I was new and heard about the company on BT, she gave me 15% off, plus free 2 day shipping. Then I got an extra 10% off cause she said there was a sale.

x2 you should try some on, to answer the question of what I use, I use an Orca S2 - suposed to be entry level but great build, very flexible shoulders for those not used to swimming with wetsuits due to the flexible material panels, very comfortable for me.  Excellent buoyancy and to be honest I tried a few and even some much higher priced models and this one just worked on comfort and performance.  loads of places will let you hire for a season and if you want to buy at the end they will sell at reduced rate.
