Anyone else doing Pewaukee without a wetsuit?  Just read the lake is 51 degrees!  Gosh I hope that was wrong!

How long is the swim?  If the water is truly 51 degrees I would really try to get a wetsuit for it if you can.

I'll be there with no wetsuit.  The short swim (440 yds) and the nice air temp is enough for me.

Just curious where you had heard that temp for the water though, only because the last two lakes I swam in were right around 67-70 deg. just in the last two weeks.  Either way I'm too cheap to get a wetsuit this year.

I'm sure that the water will be fine.

Good Luck and have fun!

Granted it was a couple of weeks ago but I swam in Pewaukee Lake (at the tri location) and didn't need my wetsuit--I would estimate low 70s. Could a lake temp drop that much in two weeks?

I'm glad to hear that a few of you think differently.  I just did a search on lake temp at Pewaukee Lake online earlier today.  Hopefully I just stumbled on some old information.
I'll see you there, sans suit!
Good Luck Sunday to all racing Pewaukee!!!
