Registration closes tomorrow. I am going to register and am really hoping I get in!
Anyone else hoping to do the TC 10 miler?

I have also thrown my name in the hat.  Fingers crossed!  I'll probably never get in, due to bad karma, since I had a spot last year (after the TC 1 mile) and missed the registration.  Doh!  I cried.

I made a group for the lottery as well...we shall see if we get in again. If so, it will be 3 for 3 out of lottery races for the 3rd time

I just signed up for my first time also.  What are the chances of getting a lottery spot?

wow I feel bad, working for a corporate sponser I'm pretty sure I got to sign up for a spot before the lottery but I can't run close to 10 miles, maybe 10 mins.  Didn't know it was so popular.

Anyways,  according to the official communications, the lottery closes Wed, july 15th at 10pm, and results of the lottery drawing will be available online Friday July 17th!

Good luck to everyone!

No luck for me.  I guess that leaves more time for my bike this fall!

Denied, as well. Oh well...we got in to G'ams and Chequamegon, so that would have been pushing our luck, I guess.

I'm not in either.  Is it wrong that I feel better knowing some of you didn't either?

That's why we always do the group option...all for one, and one for all, I guess. :p

I KNOW!!! I do feel bad, I didn't realize it was such a big deal and running 10 miles is crazy to me.  But should have known the fit lunatics on this site would have wanted in.  Just didn't realize it was so hard to get a spot.

I really could have been shady and given you all the code to use when registering early.
Next year I promise!!!!

SUre :-)

Actually, like I said, the last four years, our "athletic lottery" skills have been batting 1000...so the fact that this is the first in a long time, I'm okay with it.

I think we'll head over to Whistlestop, which is one I've been wanting to do forever, but keep ending up doing TC 10.

I didn't get in either. Not very lucky. I was in the lottery for the 1 mile and didn't get in and tried the lottery again and didn't make it in. My brother is running the marathon and I will be there to cheer him on.

Has anyone watched the TC marathon and been able to multiple places to cheer someone on? I wondering if there's a trick to it. Should I ride my bike? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

Last year we cheered racers at about mile 17.5   There wasn't a huge crowd, so it was easy to park on the street nearby.  It's after a tiny rise, so everyone seemed grateful for the cheering.  Make sure you arrive in time for the first wheelers or at least the race leaders.  Their speed is incredible.  The TCM site has a race guide with expected times.

I got in on my first try.  Really looking forward to it but know it could be painfull.  The race is 3 weeks after IMMOO and I remember that being the worse time for me as far as recovery from the race.  Hips will hate me for it I'm sure.  Sorry to hear so many of you did not get in.

My wife got in after doing the 1 mile so she was glad she did that race to get an extra entry.  I will be doing the Marathon, or attempting, my training has been subpar this year, I can only hope my tri training is giving me some value for the run.

My family came last year and stopped at mile 8, 15, and 20ish and then the finish.  They were in 2 cars, had a 14 month old and 2 grandparents and made it to those spots.
