During the clinic, we went over the foundations of swimming. 1. breathing 2. position 3. rotation (I think these were the three things. ) Coach Kristen will be sending her outline out soon. Some simple things, but things I have been doing wrong this entire time. I now have to spend a large amount of time in the pool breaking the habits I've formed and rebuilding new ones. Video tape review after the clinic. I did not realize I looked that bad. Ignorance is truly bliss but now I have a whole list of things to work on. I over rotate to the point that the elbow of my recovery arm is touching the water on the other side. I'm practically on my back. My kick is bad. My elbow position is not good. I don't activate my hand/wrist during the catch phase. I breathe at the wrong time which causes me to over rotate in order to breath. I'm amazed she didn't throw the camera down to jump in and save me from drowning! Definitely worth the money and I would not hesitate to recommend this. |
