Subject: Hope to feel good about the run someday
Hello fellow tri buddies

Coming off my first half-iron a couple of weeks ago and it looks like my pace for the run is set for long distance racing (9 min mile)

I'd love to hear how others made this transition or any tips available to help speed up my race pace

Had a decent bike at roughly 21.5 mph for 11 miles but then got passed by just about everybody in the final 5K run

Just missed 3rd place for the Clydesdale division - gonna train harder and hope to bring home a trophy someday so the old man (45) can contribute to the kids trophy cabinet

Thanks Laughing

The more I run the faster I become.

When I started distance running - 5 years ago - I ran a 4:45:xx marathon... when I ran National Marathon last March, I ran a 3:50:43.(and I don't do any speedwork).

No, I'm not fast, but I'm getting faster!
