Subject: RE: calf and or achilles issue I have an old Achilles tear that continues to rear its ugly head, and every morning I cannot walk without pain. My physiotherapist tells me this is a result of recurring tendonitis/inflammation.
Try sleeping with the Achilles socks - the ones that have a strap from your toe so it holds your foot flexed overnight - we generally sleep with our Achilles shortened, and lengthening it out can resolve a lot of the problems ... also - as mentioned - lots of stretching not just of your calves but also your hamstrings and glutes, and calf raises to strengthen the muscles around the Achilles.
