Does your SO get Bike Porn?

When I started looking at a new bike, my DH said "you already have 2, how many can you ride at once?".  But it was a whole different story when he bought a second gun for hunting.  After all, he can only shoot one at a time.    I got a third bike. 

He doesn't really get it, but he got a new sports car this year, so he's beginning to understand.

Not at all.  I drool over my road and tri bikes, and she can't tell the difference between those and my daughter's Tinkerbell bike.

She knows that bikes are expensive, but never asks what they cost.  I buy most parts as used or takeoffs, and frames only if they are killer deals, so I don't drop the big coin.  No race wheels yet.  She is the one that's actually egging me on to get a computrainer.

Spouse tolerates my training and racing habit, with the occasional "yeah", "uh-huh", "okay." She doesn't gripe about racing/training, but dadgum, some interest would be nice.  But hey, it could be worse for sure. I have 4 bikes, but 2 are mtn, one "comfort" and race the roadie coverted into semi-tri bike.

I know a lady that has a pair of Orbeas, one for racing & one for training. Matching. Colors and all. One has Zipps and the other "training" rims. I told spouse they are well over $20k for both. Spouse doesn't get it why someone would need two bikes that cost so much. (The lady is single and a sales professional).

So to the OP, my 12 year old son digs the bike porn much more that spouse. Again, she doesn't care when I race or train (only 6 to 8 hours weekly), so I can live with that.

Anyone asking "how many bikes do you need?" just needs to know the formula:

I thought everyone knew that, but it's surprising the lack of general knowledge you find out there these days.
