I bought a nice 7900 dura ace cervelo tri bike and After getting fit they suggested I get a 177.5 crankset.  Which sucks.  Because its more money out of my pocket.  SO now im in the market for one and I dont knwo what direction to go.  The crank I have now is awesome, its carbon FSA SLK lite.  Its worth like 700, but unfortunatly Im not sure if ill ever be able to resell it, not sure if theres a market for this.

WHich crank could I get that would compare to my FSA for around 600.00?  I dont know a good website but im sure online purchase would be better then the ripoff bikeshop.  Thanks for the help.

$700? That might be MSRP but I see it all over the web for $450... haven't found a 177.5 yet though. FSA says they do make it  int hat length though.

Not sure why you think you can't resell it, if it's new, in good shape, you should be able to get $350-$400 for it easily.

What crank length are you currently riding and are you having issues?

Did they say why they thought you should be on longer cranks?

Well im 6ft 3in and have very small inseem.  I have long legs and small torso and im pretty flexible.  So a longer crank was suggested by my bike fitter who used retul.  I am also confused about the crank length because 177.5 compared to 175 seems like nothing.  Its ashame to spend extra money but i know more power on the bike makes it worth it.  I want to look at a 180 crank length, but im not sure how to test which length is best for me.

I assume that you meant you have a long inseam with your long legs.  I would agree with your assessment that 2.5mm is a very small change and unless you were having trouble with your fit, I would continue to ride what you have on the bike currently.

FWIW, I am 6'2" and currently have three bikes; two have 175's and one has 170's and the only reason I know they are not all the same is that I just checked the length.
