I've gone an easy 6 months without a solid 4 week block.  I'll go 3 week, then I get a minor injury, next week, sick.  Go fine for another 2 weeks then family vacation.

Am I the only one with this issue?

Life is what happens while you're making other plans.

Funny this post came up--I've got one more little block of training (3 weeks before start of taper) and this week (recovery week) I am sick--I think perhaps it just happens cause you're so run down from juggling life/training/work etc.  hang in there!!
I've just been trying to get the key workouts in despite what gets in the way, but yesterday I missed one of those (long run)--I think it will work out ok for you though---just keep pluggin away as best you can, and know you're not alone!Wink

Sounds familiar - part of the challenge for real-life age groupers. And another reason anyone who makes it to the start line of an IM has already finished the hardest part of the race.

It is surprising what you can overcome and still have a great day - the race is just part of the reward for all of your efforts.

I think it happens to most of us.  I'm getting killed at work lately, so that's another factor.  Then you have to deal with the wife when you're using what little spare time you have.
