Did my first 2000m swim yesterday morning. Was a real struggle getting up and only planned to go 1500m but felt good so just kept going. Longest swim to date

Now to start building some endurance.

Hello

510 AM came way to early today.

Got up, dressed and did my bike ride in the dark.   11.67 miles in 45.41.  Not fast but it is hard to ride fast in the dark.

I do wear a reflective vest, mount a headlight on my bike and I have rear Red blinking light.  Plus I just do the 1 mile loop in my neighborhood over & over.

Swim again tonight after work.

This quote gets me moving...

"Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win."

Exactly what happend to me except it was the bike.  I just felt tired and run down so I decided to run an 18.75 mile route after work.  15 min into it, I noticed that my legs were churning up a hill, seemingly without me even thinking about it.  I had a PB on that run of (don't laugh) 15.6 mph. Laughing

Planned to swim last night before going to bed, set alarm and when it went off I wondered why it was going off-then I remembered. Thought about baggin it, but didn't listen to my head and got up and put on my suit. Got to the pool, jumped in and had a GREAT swim! 1000m, felt great, kicked, sprinted, cooled down and am happy. So, I don't listen to what my head is telling me and just let my body move!

Ditto, woke up to go do my run.  Muscles are tight and almost bagged it.  Didn't have any awesome swim or anything but I did learn something in the pool today about me and my limits so I am glad I went.

We have been having a lot of thunderstorms here in PA this week.  I was concerned that I wouldn't get a bike ride in last night.  I'm not sure about running outside tonight but I got a 2 week trial of Netflix for the Xbox 360 so I would have a movie to watch if I had to use the treadmill so I have no excuses.

I couldn't force myself to get up and run when it was dark and comfortable temps this morning.  Instead I got stuck with an awful run in 90 degree temps this evening.  That will make me seriously rethink pressing the snooze button next week at 5:30.
