Subject: HELP!!! untrue wheel rubbed against chain stay - questions, pictures includedI have a (what I hope is ) slight problem. My rear wheel was a bit out of true, to the point where it was rubbing against the chain stay (it is a very tight fit to begin with ) and some of the paint on the seatstay (carbon fiber frame by the way ) is rubbed off from where the rubbing was happening. The wheel has since been trued and I have learned how to true a wheel and even created my own truing stand. Is the rubbed paint something I should be extremely worried about? Do I need to worry that the chain stay is now weakened by this or is that something that would take a lot more damage than some rubbing against a tie would do? I am hoping that this is simply a superficial thing and does not affect the strength of the frame. Edited by mscotthall 2009-08-21 12:50 PM
