Well to be honest I haven't decided yet. Living in Chicago I will have to travel and so I am trying to decide if I want to do that or just do the training plan twice and doing one next spring. Plus I have some friends that are planning a small (CRAZY!!) race here in the snow on MLK day weekend! |

Veteran 340 | Subject: RE: Fighting Artichokes - September End of Summer Challenge Morning! I put my goals at 30 mi run, 240 min bike, and 9 weight sessions. I ran all of Aug with my hip out, and was told to rest because the tissue is ticked off. Yeah that does not sit with me. However, the pain and swelling does temper it a bit. I had a 1/2 mary on 9-20, but am reducing it to a stupid 10k. Had to cancel my 1/2 in Oct too. |

swim 15000 m run 80 miles bike 200 miles I hit two of these goals last month . The swim has been the hardest to make happen due to pool hours and work and all .I have a long sprint race on Sept 13 th . And after that i am looking at doing a longer event in mid october. My limiter is the swim so I really need to bear down this month. Training is thin this week due to the wildfires and the bad air quality.

Master 1690 Metro NY Area | Subject: RE: Fighting Artichokes - September End of Summer Challenge I've got 2 hours on the bike the past two days. I'm hoping to swim and run tomorrow. I am going away for the weekend and that will involve 7-8 hour drives two of the days. I am bringing my bike and hope to bike and run a bit while away. What does everyone have planned for the labor day weekend? |

Hope you are safe! Thanks , fires are burning many miles away from us and the smoke is blowing east (away from us) . But its still not good to train locally .

Veteran 340 | Subject: RE: Fighting Artichokes - September End of Summer Challenge OOHHH HAPPY HAPPY .....oh it's Thursday. Hummmm well have a good pre-Friday! Tonight is a torture session (weights). The plan I am following this month is rough. I have company coming this weekend, but they are here to see my HB. I am going to run, lift weights, bike, and make plum jam. I think I am taking my kids to a Theme Park on Friday to play in the water park. I really should be working, so I will have to throw in work on the weekend. |
