BTers,

Based on your experience is 1 mile on the road = 1 mile on the trainer = 1 mile on the roller ?

If not, what is the correct ratio.

Thanks,

I fell that one hour on trainer would = 1/2hr on road. When your on the trainer there is no coasting, at least I don't.

You coast for half the time you are on the road?  That's a lot of coasting.

And I think you have it backwards... no coasting means an hour on the trainer = more than an hour on the road.

Wind, hills, drafting, traffic lights, potholes, dogs all can change the dynamics of riding on the road, as far as a general workout I'll have to agree with agree with

1 hour on the road = 1 hour on the rollers = 1 hour on the trainer

I pedal constantly on the trainer. I don't pedal constantly on the road.
My average cadence and my max cadence are much closer on the trainer than on the road.
I shift gears more on the road than the trainer.
I space out more on the trainer than on the road.
I have never used rollers.
I know nothing about ratios for roller vs trainer vs road.
