Swim
Comments: I started to swim toward the right hand-side and stayed that way. My first two hundred yards were very controlled and I did not feel panicked nor stressed. As we got past the cove I noticed that the waves picked up, but they did not seem substantial. During the middle part of the swim, I did a great job of focusing on different parts of my stroke--including front quad swimming. I did a great job of sighting. Only once did I need to make a significant correction. As we headed to the Tiburon cove the waves/currents started to pick-up again. It seemed counter intuitive that that would happen. Got up at 5:30, on the road by 6:30. I got to the swim site with enough time to check in and set-up. I ran across Roger and a couple of his buddies at Tiburon.
Eventually we headed to the boat and got shipped to Angel Island.
I got my head wet and warmed up by swimming about six strokes before the race began.
