Subject: Blue Water Triathlon
Hey! Has anyone ever done the Blue Water Triathlon in Parker, AZ? It's another Mountain Man event...just wondering how the race is and the atmosphere...the sprint course. Thinking of getting up early and heading up there the day of...there's an ASU football game i'm going to the night before...just trying to decide. Thanks!

Great race. I recommend doing the longer course.

The longer course swim is only 1000 meters and there is a current behind you. Pristine blue water like a swimming pool!
The bike course goes up the California side of the Colorado River and then across the Havasu dam. Then the ride goes down the Arizona side of the Colorado river back to the casino resort. The run is a mostly dirt 5 miles.

I would do that race every year if it wasn't the same day as Silverman.

I'm in.  Haven't done it before, but a friend did and is going again.  This will be the longest bike I have done in a race.

This was my first tri. in 2002.  It was great, though i got two flats and twisted my ankle within the first mile of the run course.  I was hook.  Did it three other times with friends.  Plan on doing the Oly. next year in place of SOMA.  Do it, however the late night ASU Football game and the 2.5hrs drive my kill you...  But hey its all good.. right???
