First Tri Completed!!!

Congrats!  Feels good just to figure things out on the first one, doesn't it?  Now tell me, have you already looked ahead to pick out a bunch for 2010 already? 

It's odd to go through something thinking, "this sucks, this sucks, this sucks" only to cross a finish line and say, "that was awesome!"

It reminds me of football camp.

I don't have a bunch picked out for next season yet...I know that I will do this one again, my brother-in-law and I are thinking about doing one at Lake Norman, NC next season. The others, I'll just look through some of the sites and see what sounds good.

I really felt pretty good throughout...not quite as bad as football camp or Marine Corps boot camp. Didn't really get the "this sucks" feeling. I knew that I was going to suck on the run because it's my weakest part, so I took satisfaction in the bikers I passed, knowing I was sure to see their number go by later, lol.

Very rewarding, though. I didn't have a time in mind, but I was able to beat my brother...and this is his 7th time on this course, and he runs much, much better than I do.
