Anyone have any experiience with either of these?

Quick search of Al Gore's internet reveals that they are the same (both manufactured by SRAM/Zipp) except that the SRAMS are built overseas, thus a little cheaper and the decals.

Have a co-worker who is looking for an affordable set of aero wheels, looking at these and asking questions.

As I understand, they both are basically inexpensive Zipps.  They are built from the same CAD drawings regardless of where they are manufactured.

I was riding with a guy that works for SRAM that was on a pair of SRAM's.  I questioned him about them and he said they were the Flashpoints with SRAM labeling.  No difference.  It sounded like they were phasing the Flashpoint brand out and labeling them SRAM.

The only difference that I have noticed is that the SRAM version uses a different spoke.  More bladed and a little beefier.  SRAM S60 set weighs 1,850 vs 1884 for FP60 (difference could be attributed to the spokes).  I believe the carbon faring is structural in both wheels, whereas the carbon is not structural in the Hed Jet clincher.

I heard the same about phasing out Flashpoint and replacing with SRAM branded wheels.

If I remember correctly, the SRAM ones decals are not removable.

OK so I've been considering what to get for a front wheel (have a PT on rear so I have a cover for the rear wheel so therefore ONLY looking for a front!) and thought I had it narrowed down to the FP60 but is there any reason NOT to get that if they are "phasing them out" or should I save a couple of dollars and just get the S60 since I can find it a little cheaper then the FP60????

Flashpoint no longer exists, they are similar but not identical wheels, basically zipps with cheaper hubs. I have a set of S60's on my roadie and think they are outstanding

Jay Prasuhn's review of the S80's is here, and is very positive

I've got the S60 and boy are they great. They weigh about the same as my old Bontrager Race Rims. However, on the down hills and flats, the S60 rolls really fast. They are definitely stiffer than my old rims. Message me if you guys have questions.

Comparing to the Flashpoint 60, I think they feel the same. A buddy of mine has the FP60 on his bike and I rode his bike. We've also got similar Trek bikes and I couldn't fee a difference.
