Can anybody recommend a good place to get a lactate threshold test? Any experience etc.?

Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley or even Vancouver Island if it's really worth it. Did a Google search but no joy.

I'm located in Abbotsford.

PR Multisport does them as well:

One of the coaches who does it is in Pitt Meadows so it's pretty close for you.

I know grad students at UBC that do it and are often looking for volunteers. I'll contact someone I know and ask if they are looking for anyone right now.

Okay, emails sent. I'll let you know what I hear back. Also, can you PM me, your gender & age (or age range) and what you'd rate your skill level on the bike as I'm sure that they will ask that to see what study they'd need you for.

I got a message from one friend and she told me that there are no studies open right now, but she'll let me know when something comes up. So thanks to the 3 people that sent me their info. I passed it on to my friend and told her to contact me when something does come up.

If you do end up going to get your test done in the meantime, you could always get it redone to monitor improvements at a later date.

Thanks jen, that would be great. I think I am getting the testing done around Christmas for a present but to get it done again down the road, that would be great. Got the CompuTrainer bike trainer and amping the running up so a test later on would be great. Thanks for looking into that for us!
