Master 1730 Straight outta Compton | Subject: RE: What races/rides are you doing in 2010? Good topic, Susan! This is likely to change somewhat: Chilly Cheeks (see you there)! Summer Open- I love the run course. Ironman Kansas 70.3 Highlands Ranch Tri-N-July Rattlesnake Cb2b Ironman Boulder Harvest Moon Aquabike (2 70.3's will wear out my running knees) Redman Full Aquabike (2/3 of an Ironman is more than 1/2!) Hopefully that's the minimum I'll do. All depends on the knees, feet, and wallet! Edited by mcgilmartin 2010-01-13 3:14 PM |

Expert 1116 Thornton, CO | Subject: RE: What races/rides are you doing in 2010? This is a long list for me, Here's what I have so far (in order of when they occur in the year): Sedona, AZ Marathon <-- first marathon 24 Hours of Utah... the Run (solo) <--first ultra... go big or go home?! Colorado Marathon San Diego Marathon 5430 Sprint Boulder Peak My Way or the Tri Way Xterra: Indian Peaks <--first attempt at an xterra Boulder 70.3 Harvest Moon HIM 24 Hours of Moab (Mountain biking: part of a 5 person team) IMAZ I've registered for the big ones already and some of the short ones, plus there's some 5ks and additional sprint tris I'll throw in there. Still trying to fit a century ride or two in there as well and hopefully a 2-4mile OWS "race" as well. |

175 | Subject: RE: What races/rides are you doing in 2010? Well now I just feel like a wuss. Here's my tentative schedule, although I haven't signed up yet (except for the winter distance series). Just bought a new road bike this month, so probably going to try and fit entrance fees into next month's budget. Winter Distance Series Colfax half marathon Boulder Peak Copper Triangle Harvest Moon...(maybe) still unsure about the weather on this one... |

Lafayette, CO | Subject: RE: What races/rides are you doing in 2010? I've been very wishy washy about what I'm going to do. I can't find the motivation to get in a pool right now so I might be run and bike focused this summer. I've not registered for anything but here's my thoughts: Bolder Boulder Centurion (new cycling event in Boulder county really not sure on this one, it frightens me a bit) Denver Half Marathon (my first half) Donor Dash (in honor of my cousin who became a donor in October and a friend who received a liver in March) Boulder Sunrise and/or Sunset Du? |

Pro 4277 Parker, CO | Subject: RE: What races/rides are you doing in 2010? Susan, I didn't see Pikes Peak Ascent on your list? Budget is tight this year and I also missed out on family time last year training for Redman so I most likely will only do 4 or 5 events. Possibly: Buena Vista Century Bolder Boulder a sprint tri Pikes Peak Ascent Harvest Moon why do i get a double-space everytime I hit return? |

I forgot the various 5k's I'll run, the Tuesday night aquathlons, etc. Those I view as training though, not really racing, per se. |

Expert 1158 Ocala, Florida | Subject: RE: What races/rides are you doing in 2010? Being new to Colorado, the choices are overwhelming....so i haven't completely decided or registered for anything yet. However, i'll be registering soon for Harvest Moon (my first 70.30), Loveland Lake, and Rattlesnake Tri. That's just the beginning list of a long and busy season. I'd definitely like to do one of the Boulder races and one of the Air Force Academy events as well. |

Member 220 Denver, CO | Subject: RE: What races/rides are you doing in 2010? The Rattlesnake has what they call the "Crazy Back to Back" where you do the Olympic on Saturday and the sprint on Sunday. If I hadn't signed up for the Boulder series, I was probably going to do that. Oh well...maybe next year. My 2010 race schedule, so far: Rock n' Roll AZ marathon Chilly Cheeks #2 Chilly Cheeks #3 Platte River half-marathon (probably) Greenland Trail 25k (maybe) Bolder Boulder (maybe) 5430 Sprint Boulder Peak Boulder 70.3 Rock n' Roll Denver marathon I may potentially throw the Runnin' of the Green, Cherry Creek Sneak, and maybe another sprint tri in there, but we'll see. I just signed up for the Denver marathon today, and may end up dropping to the 1/2, but the discount for the first 500 registrants was just too good to pass up...I'll save money even if I *do* drop to the 1/2. ETA: ooh, forgot about the Venus de Miles...I really liked that one last year. If that fits on the schedule, I'm probably there! Edited by trimama530 2010-01-13 8:47 PM |

Regular 100 Denver | Subject: RE: What races/rides are you doing in 2010? Here's what I want to do (I haven't signed up for anything yet) Cherry Creek Sneak Furry Scurry (ok, this one doesn't really count, my old dog won't even run with me, so it's a 2 mile walk) Boulder Bolder (or is it Bolder Boulder, I can never remember) Tri the Creek Elephant Rock (probably the 100k) Loveland Lake to Lake or MS 150. Sucks they are the same time and I have to choose. Rattlesnake Olympic Harvest Moon if I can get motivated, Crescent Moon if I can't Hilly Hundred (a two day ride back in my hometown in Indiana) There are a couple of other runs like Fans on the Field and the Wash Park Turkey Trot that I did this year that I liked and may do again. |

Dates are Sept 25th-26th for that race. I'm up for a team attempt... hell, I'm stupid enough to be convinced to do the 24 as a duo. I'll be coming off the Boulder 70.3 and HM HIM, but should be recovered enough for it since I'm hoping to be in IM shape before then (then just maintain it for IMAZ) cordova78 - 2010-01-14 10:02 AM IMAZ <------ first IM We'll have to catch up with each other at a local race around here so we can then find each other while we're at IMAZ. It's always nice to see a familiar face when you're doing a race like that. |
