What's the ride and run like?

I see some of th average speeds are up there adn wonder if it is rolling or flat and if the run is trail or road etc.

I use to live in the area...it's pretty flat.  It's probably considered a slightly rolling course, but it looks flat. Laughing

The run is trails with hills and gravel with little tree cover for shade. There are some stretches of pavement, but to me it was a difficult run. I think that's why the times look slower. One guy called it "a cowpath". The tri, itself, is great though and I'll probably do it again this year as it's close.

Forgot to add that the bike was good. I don't remember any big hills.

What's the water temp like, wetsuit needed? They say “Warm Water in the Early Season ...!”, what's warm...75C? 80C?

I'm doing it as well. The sprint!

Apparently the water is like 72ish. I'm wearing a wetsuit.

And I have heard the run is a bit uneven and on paths and such. I'm thinking horrible hopefully it's not that bad though.
And I listened to the race report podcast on multisportcanada and they said there is an uphill the last 2k of the ride?!? Can someone clarify this?

I don't think there is much in hills there. A quick map of the course from MapMyRide shows grades no greater than 1% and a total positive elevation gain of ~42m.
Only the corner of Chippewa and Tyneside roads seem to have a little hill....
