Subject: Ipod question.....
So, the ipod automatically updates songs in the playlists, right?  Once on the ipod, can you delete the song from the computer or will it automatically delete it from the ipod as well?  Do I have to keep all the songs in the library on the computer?  Is there a way to override the automatic replacement or another way to do it?

Thanks

Chris

The good news is that I'm pretty sure there is a way to override the automatic update. The bad news is I don't know how to do it without being hooked up. I'm on my wrong computer right now. Taking a shot in the dark, with the ipod connected, you should be able to go to Controls or Advanced and find an option that has boxes selected where you can switch from automatic to manual. Once selected, I think that should take care of it. Try it out with a song you dislike first. Sorry I can't be more of a help.

If you are getting your songs from ITunes you just go onto ITunes and un check the boxes of the songs you do not want put on your Ipod. Then update you Ipod again and it will leave off those songs. I have 700 songs on my Ipod and I get tired of hearing the same ol' ones so I will leave them off after a while and then add them back on in a few months. I also have Rhapsody but I am not sure how you would leave the songs off from it updating on there; I guess you could go and just delete them from your play list on Rhapsody since the songs would update on your Itunes and you would have a copy of the songs there.

Hope that helps,
