Subject: Dang weather! I want to ride my bike!
Due to other races, recovery days, and poor weather, I haven't been out on my P3 yet. But, today is/was going to be the day!

However, they are calling for sever T-Storms this afternoon and now the damn clouds are moving back in.

I know Chris (cdf26.2) would say to just get out there--he was givin' me hell about only riding it on nice days at our last Tri--but I really don't want to take it out in the rain and get the drive-train all crapped up unless I have to.

Are we ever going to get a nice afternoon?

Thanks for listening.

I feel your pain. I bought my new bike in November and I only rode it 4 times when I did a tri in March. From March until June, I only rode it about 10-15 more times, but luckily the weather is nice now.

Maybe this will help make us appreciate riding our new bikes more.

Get out there and ride!

You're thinking it's nice, you paid big money for it, etc..but it's a training tool. Your training is the justification for the cost, and not the other way around. You can still clean it obsessively when you get home, though.

Maybe you need to take a sick day.... you know, so you can get out there before the rain comes in.  Seems like a perfectly good use of a sick day to me!

You know, if I hadn’t taken one to go get fit/buy it ...

But, tonight is the night... I can feel it!

Rob,

I'll say it, Stay off the wet roads! I think the Dual wasn't happy about being out there on sunday and she let know it by not staying upright! lol

Seriously, driving home from the train last night the skies opened up, flash flooding etc and i saw some poor guy running through it. Must've sucked. Wondered if he was dedicated or just unlucky.

Tomorrow is supposed to start the nicer weather.

Rob:

You can always put it on the trainer if you are that scared of getting it wet .  Radar looks pretty clear right now.  Just find a nice 2 mile loop around your house and keep going..and going...and going...it it rains, you're never more than a mile away.  Enjoy the bike man, it looks like one sweet ride.

See... told ya' Chris would be on my case. LOL!

It's not getting it wet I'm worried about... It's getting the dust you're going to be kicking up, while you run along side me holding an umbrella over my head, on the wet drive-train that bothers me. Gunk!

Oh... and slipping on the wet roads doesn't sound pleasant--better than riding the trainer--but not pleasant. (Right Mark?)
