Subject: Midnight work outsOK. So how many of you actually work out close to during or after mid-night? I'm talking to the people that are waking up at unGodly hours of the AM, spend more time with your co-workers, more than friends and family (combined ). Come home to chores, screaming kids (and sometimes SOs ), then realize that you can't go to sleep yet cause you need to put in those miles to stay on your tri "schedule" (that's a funny one ).
I've been doing a few mid-night runs lately and there are pros and cons to it.
PROS
1 ) I have the roads/sidewalks to myself
2 ) Less obstacles (people ), to avoid
3 ) No one is awak at home to tell me to keep running straight to the bathroom cause I stink from my sweaty run (wife )
CONS
1 ) I don't know if the roads are more dangerous at mid-night or while everyone is rushing to get home (regardless of who's in their path )
2 ) Despite the good neighborhood I live in, I'm one to run with a sizable knife in my hands (you know, in case of bear attacks....in NYC )
3 ) No one is awake at home to jump on and spray my sweaty self or hug to hear them scream at the top of their lungs in disgust (wife )
