Per karibu and his winning photo, this weeks theme is Reflections. Take that to mean what you will, and all photos shot by you

As a few have asked, this weeks contest is open to photos taken ANY TIME>, next week will be back to photos taken that week only.

Good luck all, have been having a great time thus far seeing all the new photos.

I love this!!!!  Really cool photo!

Thanks!

I love the vivid color in your photo, in addition to the actual composition it's self.

That's great!  When I saw the theme I immediately went to my Chicago pics, too.  I didn't get one of the bean as nice as that, though.  Should have gone back at night!  The city glow in the reflection looks awesome.

keep bringing photos in! When you are around others doing things you like/admire that's when you get better. You can see things you do, and don't like both subject and composition wise, and start to see how people go about shooting images, and this helps you grow!

You dont need an expensive camera to do it (my favorite landscape i've ever shot was with a point and shoot disposable).

good luck guys, some awesome photos so far.

I love shooting in cities at night. It's a totally different feel. The biggest problem is the orange cast from all the High Pressure Sodium lights.

I like your shot of the Sears tower.

Reflections are fun, this is a great theme.

Well, at least on all things tri I am consistently BOP.  Your photos are fantastic!  I often see photographs in my head but don't know how to get them onto the camera.  This forum is helping me to try new things.  I appreciate it when folks include their camera settings. I had never used the manual mode on my "point and shoot" until last week.  Thanks!

I noticed that many of you are posting as an attachment. How do you do that?

I just don't have a lot of creativity. And I suck at resizing the photos even though I think I am doing it right.

When you post, click in the little box below which says "attach file after posting".  At least I think that is what you are talking about here.

After checking the box "attach file" click the submit button. This will open a menu window where you can select and attach your file. You need to know where the file is stored and it needs to be less than 100k in size.

Downtown Providence boat launch.  I like the juxtaposition of urban and nature. It's what make it a great place to hang out.  You can just make out a statue in the river as well. He disappears at high tide.
