Master  1681     Rural Ontario |  Subject: Tour de BronteI just made my regular bi-weekly visit to the bike store and saw the flyer for the Tour de Bronte. Bike race in Oakville in April. Anyone do this one before? |

Veteran 270 Burlington | Subject: RE: Tour de Bronte Haven't raced it but rode the course. Not quite cyclocross but definately not a road ride. You could probably do it all on a road bike if it is dry. |

It's Ontario's version of the european spring classics. Actually, the mountain bike race ONLY allows mountain bikes, even though it could be run with a cross. Yes, your right, everything else has to be road or cx bike specd. |

They're based on the OCA (Ontario Cycling Assoc.) licenses and you can sort of get the jists of them here I think: http://www.ontariocycling.org/oca-membership/types-of-uci-licences/ |
