Makers & Coke in my hand right now* actually.

*By right now I mean 10:30 at night. I realize some may not be reading this until Friday morning, in which case I won't be drinking. Too bad.

Naw... that was me last night with the two *very full* glasses of Zin.

I don't like beer... I have very sensitive bitter taste buds and have trouble with anything even slightly bitter (save bittersweet chocolate, oddly).  Shame really, because coffee and beer SMELL very good.  After 15+ years trying to develop a taste for it, I quit trying this year.  I figure, I'm 35 now and old enough to say I really don't like it.

And forget saying something like, "But this beer's not hoppy at all, it's sweet... try it."  Save your beer.  I've tried a zillion different brands, types, etc.  I donate my share to those who really appreaciate it!

Nothing like a good wheat beer with some lemon in the summer. But I'll take a nice hoppy IPA though.

Triathlon nutrition plan?????  What's that?  lol

I really need to start controlling what I eat.  I'm on the see food diet, and always have been.  My wife hates me because I eat my body weight in junk food daily and still lose weight.

Did anyone else notice that Ron has "beer brewing" on his profile under interests?

Anybody here do homebrewing?  I used to, back when I had the time.  Harvest Moon Ale  mmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Hate you too.. Me so jealous of you guys.

I like a beer chaser after shots. Can't even finish a pint of beer. I got bored and the beer got warm.

I enjoyed 11 beers tonight. Not the best post workout drink, but better than coke and hookers!

Edited to add that I sadly have never had coke or hookers.

Most bars will have the stuffed ones if you ask. There is martini place by the house, you know where anything served in the right glass is suddenly a martini. I complete disagree with the concept, but the stuffed olives make it worth dealing witht he pretenders

I have heard hookers go better with coke than with pepsi.

Tomorrow (Saturday): me, the river, a cooler full of light beer.

(Hey, if I'm drinking all day, it's gotta go down like water!)

Try Woodford Reserve by Labrot & Graham if you can find it.

Yep, Makers is definitely my favorite. I'll admit I'm not much of a connoisseur. More of an "I know what I like so that's what I'll keep drinking" kind of guy.

eta: I'll look for the Woodford Reserve. I may like what I like, but I'm always willing to try something new.

ETA is right - woodford reserve is great stuff. If you like it and can find a shop that carries a variety of bourbons there are some other great ones as well. Try it with water instead of coke when you try the woodford reserve.
