Subject: Tall women - what do you wear?
I'm starting to look into tri clothing, and I'm wondering what the tall women around here wear?  I'm 5'11.  I'm pretty sure a 1 piece will be a no go, given they don't make them in a long torso.  Are there any brands that people have found the tops tend to be a bit longer?

I'm 5'10" and like Trinity Multisports' shirts.  I bought my first one last year for my first year of triathon and now bought a 2nd for this year.

I'm 6'0, with a freakishly long torso, so this is a constant struggle.  One-piece suits are simply out of the question (and don't even get my started on trying to find a wetsuit that doesn't make you feel like you're being split up the middle!).  I've found that I can't really depend on any single brand to consistently make long tops, so I usually just have to try on everything before I buy it.  I almost always buy a size larger than what I typically wear in both tri and cycling tops (the shorts aren't a problem for me), and that helps a bit with the length... but a lot of shirts will always be too short, even if you size up.

I don't think they do tri tops, but I've had really good luck with Pactimo cycling jerseys.  I also have a Pearl Izumi tri top that is nice and long, but it's not one of the super-fitted kinds- it's a tad bit loose around the midsection.  Hopefully you have a local store that you can visit to try on some options before you buy anything, that's the easiest way to go.  Good luck!

I'm 5'11" with a pretty long torso...i'm constantly tugging at jerseys/tops etc, especially on my tri bike...i've found my newest tri top is this years Sugoi tank, and they are super long...but i have one in the same exact size from 2 years ago, and it's super tiny! really, i recommend not ordering online, and finding somewhere to shop in person...i generally buy men's team jerseys instead of womens, because they are longer/stay in place better...my jerseys are all champion systems, fit pretty well, could be a bit longer...as far as wetsuits...i have no ideas haha

Check out trisport.com, most all tops are listed with length measurements. You could check out many different options.

Also of you call and talk with one of the women that work there can be quite helpfu.

I'm not a woman...shocker, I know.  But I clicked the threat because I am a tall guy and interestingly enough...craft trisuits fit better than anything else.  Also...the new TYR competitor line has very long torsos.  I am 6'-3" and the medium is long enough.

Just shy of 6' here. Womens tops are mostly out - I could write a tome about how frustrating it is to find athletic womens clothing period for tall gals, let alone tri specific stuff. Anyway. Stick to the mens stuff (sigh). I like Pearl Izumi gear in mens size it's plenty long enough - no riding up. Someone else mentioned Craft trisuits. I have one, it rocks (and makes you look like a superhero) - plenty long enough if you need a one-piece for short events. I have a couple Desoto tops, they are plenty long enough, but have a tendency to ride up during racing which is not enjoyable. You just have to try a bunch of tops and see what works unfortunately.

I wear a sport bra and tri shorts. (My torso really is not very long...but the idea of a one piece makes my crotch and butt crack cringe in fear)

I have had luck with Shebeest tri tops.

I find cycling jerseys are rarely long enough, but have the best luck with Sugoi. Even so I have a permanent sliver shaped tan line on my lower back.

I know that the men's stuff would probably be long enough for me, but it is never small enough width wise. I hate wearing anything that billows out. Blech. I prefer fitted clothing........

For swimming I wear a two piece Tyr suit.......<<<< see avatar!

As for wetsuits? Desoto two piece is the magic answer.

It's not easy to find stuff but it IS possible if you search.

Lots of good selection at Team Estrogen........

Good Luck !

I'm 6'1" with a long torso and have a very hard time finding tri clothes.  The men's tops are just not cute!

I finally found an Orca Tri top that is really long.  I don't like having "Orca" on my chest, but the top itself is very long, and very comfortable.  If you look online for last years or prior years models you can usually get a pretty good deal.

I do have a Louis Garneau men's tri top that a friend gave me, and it's one of my favorite tops.  You have to wear a sports top underneath, but that's one men's option that I have found be be good.

Post back if you find any other brands not posted on here that work, I'm always looking for a cute long tri top!

Thanks for all the feedback!  There is one brick and mortar tri shop around here.  The prices are really high compared to what I can get online though and they don't seem to have too much selection.  Particularly since the Canadian dollar is high right now, I may be better shopping online.  I think I will go there to try on some stuff though.  I may find something I love, and fits great.  If nothing else, hopefully I'll get an idea how some of it fits.
