Swim
Comments: It was real choppy and there was a funny current, I haven't been able to swim lately so I was about a minute slower then I wanted. The course was also 750 meters not 700 as announced by the RD Transition 1
Comments: Went sockless for the first time in a race, it went well and it was pretty quick. 2nd in my ag and 15th overall Bike
Comments: Crushed the bike, passed all but one guy in my AG, knew that I had hurt my foot so I might as well try and kill it on the bike, felt really really good. Transition 2
Comments: The dismount line came up and I wasn't quite ready so I could only get 1 foot out of my shoes which cost me a few seconds, still the fastest T2 in my ag and 21st overall Run
Comments: As soon as I started running I could not breathe. I don't know if its asthma or my position on my bike or what, but I could not get air in. Mile two it got a bit better. Near the end of Mile 2 a Virginia Tech guy caught me and we battled for almost a mile. I had a stitch the whole time and finally i couldn't keep the pace. Once he passed me I fell apart a bit and I knew that the next guy in my ag was at least 2 minutes behind so I finished it out pretty weak. Post race

This one was a bit interesting. Flew back from california and arrived home at 1am. Dropped a suitcase on my bare foot. Iced it and got ready and drove 2.5 hours to the race site, ate a ham sandwich and had some coke. Completely weird, hadn't slept in 24 hours and just prayed it would work out.
ran about a mile to loosen up the legs from travel and swam around 500-600 yards
