Event warmup:

swam a little but nothing too strenuous.

Comments:

Part of relay team so compared my time to swimmers in my age group. Started out quickly on the run and for the first 100-200m was in the lead group. eased into a decent pace and then pushed it again in the last 100 -150 meters. Came out of the water well but stubbed and may have broken a toe. Good run into transition. sighting was much better and stayed reasonably straight and on course.

What would you do differently?:

maybe a little slower off the start>

there were weeds the entire swim that came up nearly to the surface. They were distracting and annoying.
