Subject: Okanagan Lake Swimming Spots?
Are there any areas on Okanagan lake, specifically in the Kelowna or Penticton area, that have swim buoys set up in the summer?

I think I remember seeing swim buoys set up in Penticton near where the Ironman swim is....not 100% sure though.

In Penticton there are buoys that run parallel to the beach from the to start area for IMC to the SS Sicamous. It's approx. 750m

Hi.  I see swimmers training for IMC every day on Okanagan Lake in Penticton as the others have said.  According to my bike computor the "Peach" at the east end of the beach to the SS Sicamous is almost exactly 1 km.

I have also seen people swimming at Skaha Lake using the buoys there but I would think Okanagan side of town would be more convenient and more triathlon relevant.

I live in Kelowna and swim the Gyro loop, check out the across the lake swim web site, they have a map and usually have the lake temp there too,

Look under swim clinics fo rthe map and lengh.
