Subject: Needing a Jump

Warning- for those of you who don't find tire changing stroies funny, don't read this!!

Ok- so run4yrlif enters my cube- check out our conversation:

Jim: Do you have jumper cables in your car?

Me:  Yeah

Jim:  Can you give me a jump?  (at this point, I know he's serious, but have a hard time not laughing.  So for some reason, I say

Me:  I have really big jumper cables

Jim: You have big cables?

Me:  Yeah- thanks to my dad who hooked me up with them when I got my own car.  (they really are- they are thick and I could probably give an army tank a jump start with them)

Anyways, I thought it was funny and wanted to share.

I think he was running power tools from his car building your birthday cake

LOL!  I guess you had to be here to think it was funny.  I was in the middle of a work related conversation with a coworker, and he comes barrelling into my cube (ya know- pretty much  how Kramer enters the room nearly falling after coming through the door?), kinda interrupts.  And then he very firmly says "I need a jump".

Ok- so we were talking about tatoos.  he was telling me that his brother is all tatooed up, and I was discussing the possibility of getting my M Dot tat after my first IM next year.  But- I did have a piece of paper in front of me that was calling my name for immediate review and assessment.  As I was on my way to conduct my review, my train of thought was interrupted with the perverse comment about needing a jump.

OK...two more points: 1) It was a conversation and it was at wor, so I guess it was a "work-related" conversation. 2) If I remember correctly (and I always remeber correctly), my exact words were "do you have jumper cables in your car."

Sheesh. I think Janelle needs some wahoo.

But I still think she's the bee's knees. Happy birthday!
