Subject: Guys- what do you think???
Ok guys. I need your input. A few weekends ago I met a really cute, cool (and mature!) guy at the bar. It's was actually and a low kep blue grass bar, not a dance club or anything. Anyhow, we talked for awhile and I had to leave because I had to get up early the next morning to ride my bike. My friend (she's the one who introduced us- he's new in town) told me that she saw him out again the weekend after I met him. He asked her if I was coming out that night (which I wasn't because I rarely go to the bar) and asked her for my number. She emailed me the next day to let me know she gave him my number, because she knew I was somewhat interested in him. Anyways, he got my number from my friend on Saturday, and hasn't called yet. Is he really going to call? Do guys just ask for numbers and then not call? Is he nervous and has to work up the nerves to call me? Tell me what you think. Should I just "stop in" at the bar this weekend to say hi to friends and coincidentally see him or not even bother?

He's a guy.  We're short of attention.  He got your number, then something shiney caught his attention.  When his thoughts come back around, he'll call.

Should I even bother to "drop in" at the bar this weekend to remind him that I exist?  Or just forget about it.  I am kinda thinking it's not worth it.  If he was that into me he would have called.

he wouldn't ask for it if he didn't have the intentions of calling.  this is a very important question as well... did he put your number directly into his phone, or did he have it written on a piece of paper.  why is this important, you ask?  because if he's anything like me, there is a 50% chance that he lost that piece of paper.  i think you should stop by the bar.  he'd probably figure it out, and would be very flattered.  ***this is my serious advice... later on i will talk about Wahoo's and what not***

I'm not sure.  I wasn't there.  I'll have to check with my friend.  She's married so of course married people forget about how important those details are.  My guess would be that he put it in his phone- because she would have gotten my number from her phone, and he probably got his phone out too.  I need to confirm that.  I guess it's worse if he put my number in his phone- then there's no excuse why he hasn't called, besides he's just not that into me.  Oh well....

yeah, well don't be overly concerned about that either...  there is that one time when i got the hot girl's number at the bar, and then dropped my phone in the toilet.  yes people, these are true stories.  i probably would have a wife by now if i weren't such an idiot.

I never would have thought those things really happen.  Too funny!  I'm wondering if he's going to wait to see my friend at the bar, and make sure that she told me he has my number.  Then once he get confirmation that I won't be weirded out if he calls me, he'll call?  Does it work that way?  I guess it's just wishful thinking on my part!

Does that mean he was 70, or that he kept his shirt on?

Wait how long ago did you see him? How long ago was it when he got your number?

I think usually there is a 3 day incubation period you have to wait before you call when getting the number or the guy seems to desperate.

It depends on how much you would like to get to know the guy. Janelle if you liked him and would like to get to know him better, stop playing the game and drop by to see if he is there. If it is no biggie then wait on him to call...

He is a guy, we do not have to have a reason to not call, that is what we do; ask for a number and then do nothing with it because we are dumb. I beleave we are one step up from cattle and would still be grazing in the field if that one genus that realized he could "step over" the cattle guard.

Got by and see him....

Ok- I saw him on Friday, October 7th.  My friend saw him Saturday, October 15th and that's when he got my number.  Tomorrow will be exactly one week that he's had my number, assuming he didn't lose it which I doubt.  He knows I don't go to the bar much becuase I mentioned that to him when we talked.  We joked around about it.

stop by, and when you see him, say, "I was hoping I'd bump into you again."

Honesty, clarity, positiv-ity-- all work in your favor.

You know, the lost number thing could be it too.  I once was mugged and lost a phone number with my wallet.  It took me months to locate someone who knew the girl.  I did get her number again and explained that I took a beating trying to keep her number.  I guess she forgave me, we've been married for 24 years now.

If it ain't the lost thing, my money is on the shiney thing.  Oh, look over there at that car.....

No way!  I learned my lesson after the first time I mocked you.  No- this is for real.  If I were mocking you, the story would be much cheesier

Go by the bar.

There are a million legit reasons why he may be interested and not called yet. Maybe he was sick, his parents came to visit, the VD hasn't cleared up yet, he's traveling, etc.

Also, he may have not called because he was nervous but now won't call because he figures he waited to long.
