... to date a guy like the last guy I dated. Except without the "I'm in love with my ex wife and my ex girlfriend" part. Without that stuff.

What's not to like about a guy who concurred that Alien was the best scary movie ever? Except for the love for ex wife and girlfriend part... Except that.

Ya see? Exorcist scared me more, but I thought Alien was the superior movie. I need to change my vote...

It is of capital importance that you date somebody who shares your philosophy on scary movies. Forget feeding your soul, great sex, love, body odour, it's all about scary movies.Without that, you've got nothing. NOTHING!

Ok, we also had common high regard for Love In The Time of Cholera, Garcia Marquez's best book despite the popularity of One Hundred Years of Solitude. We never got to the great sex part. Oops... not supposed to refer to sex unless it's in the context of a gym locker room, using my bike tools or at a burrito restaurant.

Other than that... uhhh... he had nice abs.

i think i should be able to go to bed for the day..  ex-inlaws are in town.. i'm at work and exhausted..  i'm wayyyyyyyyyy over due for a long nap

Damn, I LOVE the long nap...sigh.

Myself I'm working from home today...the wee one is sick...camped out on the couch with books on his ipod...damn, I love audible.com.

But nothing like working out in your sweats and actually getting sh*t done!

go take that nap, lara...then wake up, and have a cosmo...if the ex in laws are in town and they're anything like *my* ex inlaws, a trip to costco for bulk alcohol may be in order.

come on.. you remember oregon..  they only have the state run liqour stores..  small bottles..  expensive..  and NEVER open when you need them to be..

only beer and wine at costco

oh my GAWD! are you serious? You're teasing, right?
I thought that craziness only existed as you moved east!
that's inHUMAN!
you mean, it's that way in Oregon?
I'm sorry. I'm seriously surprised...I did not know that.
Okay, I'm going to have to take up the slack for you as only a good friend can....

Renee, I apologize for the thread hijack (she type shuddering about the liquor situation in Oregon).

I agree with Possum...he is out there....somewhere...and the personal ad isn't a bad idea.

Wow...a reader with nice abs! I'd like one of those too!

Second "Cholera" as his best.

I'd like...to be in Tuscany at a mid-summer sunset, drinking wine on an outdoor patio with Johnny Depp.

Don't quit trying.  Anyone as good looking and as obviously intelligent as you are will surely find someone worthy of you.  As for "Alien", although it was an "edge of you seat" kind of movie it was not as scary as the 1974 cult horror classic "Black Christmas".
