Egg Nog

Well it's true that eggnog is pretty high in carbs and protein, but I'm sure you wouldn't convince a nutritionist that it is healthy....

High in saturated fat, high in cholesterol and lots of sugar........recovery drink.....that might be streching it....

If you're gonna call it a recovery drink, be sure and add the Captain Morgan's to give it an air of legitimacy!

Is that the white/dark or the spiced?

i like the silk soy milke egg nog. low in fat at least.

If you want true heaven, go to Starbucks (I know, I know - evil empire) and have their Egg Nog Latte. Or, as I like to call it, Egg Log Natte. Oh so yummy!

Oh yeah...been there, done that several hundred times.

Oh, and another GREAT boozy, eggy holiday drink: Tom & Jerrys. Only don't make them with that crappy grocery store pre-made mix. Mmmmm... I can almost taste it now...

Yeah! What Max said!! Only, I'd go with a Haitian rum but Morgan's will do in a pinch.

Heh. Reminds me of a carribean restaurant here in Mpls. that had a whole list of rums. It read: "Capitan Morgan stopped by. We kindly asked him to leave". Apparently, El Capitan is not a high-quality rum? I'm a bourbon boy myself...

i have a friend who lives up the block who used to work at starbucks and has a nice barista espresso maker. she makes silk nog lattes all the time and has brought me a couple on days when i really needed a boost. she rules!

Call me Pavlov's Dog 'cause I'm literally salivating over all this egg nog talk. I may need to stop by Starbucks on the way back from my yoga class... (drooooooollllllll)

Egg Nog is the nectar of the Gods.

After reading this thread this morning I had to put Nog on my shopping list. I have a moderation problem when it comes to Egg Nog. I have to totally remove myself from it or mix about 50-50 with rum to keep myself from chugging the whole carton in one sitting.

I picked up a Star Bucks espresso machine a couple years ago. It was well worth the money, you do get what you pay for. I particularly liked the note inside when I bought it that said the machine may be dirty not because its pre-owned but each one is tested when it comes off the line! Now there is a job I want. You could work seven days a week.

But anyway Egg Nog Latte’s rule.

Hmmm... I've never actually had real egg nog before so it's tough to say. Being lactose-intolerant blows. I've had Silknog before, though, and that's pretty good stuff.
