Subject: RE: Swim training That is very common with new triathletes. The key is to not let it discourage you, because you'll get past it fairly quickly. There are a number of good resources available, but the best is lessons from an experienced swim coach. A lot of triathletes also use the Total Immersion series of books, DVDs and swim camps. Take a look at some of these articles . Some are for more advanced swimmers, but there's a lot of useful amount of information there for beginners. And when I started, I couldn't do a complete lap. 1.5 lengths and I was out of breath. Just give it time and focussed steady effort and you'll be fine. |
