Yes, yes, yes.

I can only justify one pair of expensive jeans though. My everyday jeans are reasonably priced (on sale at Gap!)  and have one pair of "nice" jeans.

Enjoy.

I was in Nordstrom's last week looking at jeans.  Kind of high on the fact that I could finally buy jeans in a regular store (no more Big&Tall) until I saw pair of jeans that I thought were cool.  $120!!!

I couldn't believe it.  I went running straight for my nearest Old Navy to comfort myself in their $24.95 jean section.

I can't rationalize spending that much money on jeans if your a man. It's one thing to drop lots of money for work clothes (suits, shirts, shoes). But for casual wear I just couldn't do it. But whatever floats your boat man.

Boot cut, low rise, ultra low rise. I got another pair, I think I'm stocked up for the year. Yippie! So much better than paying $60 for them!

Expensive is all relative.

My "expensive" jeans are $20. I can usually justify a pair of these once every two years.

Jess did a nice job with some way expensive jeans, but I've never found a pair that looks that flattering on ME.

The most I'll pay is what Gap jeans cost.  But then again, those are really the only jeans that fit me good.

Go to www.bluefly.com

They have designer clothes at discount prices. Now "discount" is relative. I once saw that they had Vera Wang dresses for 70% off and it turns out that a $10,000 dress was "only" $3,000....
But I've gotten a lot of REALLY nice clothes there for discount prices. For my class reunion, I bought a $600 dress for $100 that was to die for. It LOOKED like a $600 dress and I looked like a million bucks (ha!)

They have a lot of denim, as well. So you can get $200 jeans for $50 to $75 if you hit it right. (sometimes even less in clearance)

Another great site for shoes is www.gothamcityonline.com. I have bought a lot of designer shoes for as little as $5, but never more than $50. (they have shoes for more $$, but it's all really cheap) Great brands like Steve Madden, Chinese Laundry, Kenneth Cole, Coach, etc.

So---you will either love me or curse me when you check out these sites. You may end up spending a lot of money because it's so cheap! That's my excuse anyway!

So the consensus is "yes," but why? What makes $150 jeans more special than $20 GAP jeans?

See above pic. Gap jeans don't do that.

Old Navy clearance rack ($12.00) is about as expensive as I get.  Unless you are a cowboy or wear jeans as part of your job I can't see it.

They're not worth it to me; I never look at a woman wearing jeans and think "Wow, those jeans are clearly better quality than most jeans." You can do that with shoes, suits, wool slacks, wool or cashmere sweaters. I'm pretty over the whole jean thing anyway. They're everywhere and that balloon's gonna bust soon.

Give me a classic-cut Gap jean and I'm happy. I'm more of a skirt or dress girl, anyway.

If you have the butt, you'll look good in any type of jean, cheap or not.  That's my thought anyway.
