you can count me in. I am back into 3 sport training and my plan calls for 2 swims a week each 2,500 yards. So that is 22,500 yards for the month of January.
This is definitely a great way to stay motivated during the winter months.
Enjoy!
How 'bout a "bonus" challenge for those who participated in the December Swim Challenge to increase their yardage by, say, 10% in January? Just to make it interesting. . .
I was thinking the same thing during my swim this morning. How about a side challenge for all the people who made their distance in December (100%). The side challenge would be for these people to increase their distance by 10%. Each month those who do not make their distance get eliminated?
I'm in! And I definitely need to increase my distance - December was the first month I got "serious" about swimming.. I'd probably increase by 25% since my total meters for Dec Challenge was so low (8000 to 10000). I like the idea of increasing each month too!
drmac - 2005-12-31 2:25 PM How do I know what team is appropriate for me?
You live in the Midwest right?? Well there will likely be team in the Midwest. Although, I've not joined a team yet for this challenge. You'd be welcome on most any team I'm sure -- as long as you keep your committment to your yardage!
