Subject: Got Ink?

It was a crummy training day, pouring buckets outside, so it turned out to be a good day to drive up to NH to my tattoo guy and get my leg inked. Just got home a short while ago, and here's the results. Sorry for the crummy photo quality and the glare...Mama hates taking pictures. Plus the tat is still a bit swollen and red. It'll look better in a coupla days.

here's two of mine, the first is my spider, inspired by when i got bit by a fiddleback (you can see the scar by the spiders leg). the second is a Grendel, the monster from Beowulf. I also have wings on my ankles ala Hermes, but don't have any pictures of those.

Max, does her dress move when you stretch your calf. And stop it with those kind of tats. I'm not comfortable looking at a man's legs much less staring..

Guy Aitchison did it. He's great, brought the idea to him and he drew that up. His wife does most of my mom's tattoos, so I was able to arrange an appointment with him.

Well I was going to let my wife take a pic of mine but then I seen the SPIDER, that's the most awesome tat I've ever seen. But I have a couple of questions.

a. Does the shadows hold up when you have a tan?

b. If you and your mom use the same Tatooist does that mean "you might be a redneck"

Well, my wife was a nurse, so I wanted something for her. Plus she has her "devilish moments" and after searching the web for a while, I finally came up with what I was looking for. Plus I really like the pin-up style design.

Thanks for the compliments. Up until now I've been cursed with a complete inability to tan in anyway due to my swedish ancestry. So, I probably won't have to worry about that, but since the shadows are pretty light I think it would take away a lot from the piece if I got really dark.

Kerry, I love that tree you have on your site. Was that a design someone brought in, or did you draw that up. The shading around the eyes is great.
