Subject: race earlier todayUnfortunately, had a slight cold which left me feeling "run-down" prior to the race, and the mild, drizzly weather didn't add any comfort.
I placed 2nd in my age group! Not sure what overall, until results are posted tonight (hopefully top 15 ). I was surprised at how deep the field was; 5 min. run pace/miles were not uncommon. Some were using this race as a warmup for the Columbia triathlon in MD. where Ironman Hawaii World Champion, Peter Reid, will be competing.

Just a thank you to everyone who participates on this message board, I've learned quite a bit from all of you, and I hope at times, you learn some tips from me as well. Thanks, everyone.
also: I tumbled over at my T2 dismount! I clipped out with my left foot, stabled myself, however since it was so wet, I slipped and tumbled right over onto my right side! A volunteer literally pulled me up so I could clip out..so..don't feel bad if this happens during training..at least it hasn't happened to you during a race! Edited by trilover 2004-05-16 2:31 PM
